Finnscrew's tug boat TB series propellers are optimized for use in bollard-pull conditions, giving maximum thrust required for successful operations. Tug boat propellers are available for both ducted (nozzle types like Kort 19A) and open configurations. The standard Finnscrew TB is a modern, optimized design, based on a modified Kort type. Firstly, the tip edge is rounded, minimizing the vortex effects at propeller tip. Secondly, an advanced, progressive pitch distribution enables maximum efficiency taking full advantage of the nozzle. Compared to traditional Kort nozzle propellers, the TB propeller gives superior thrust in bollard pull condition, without sacrificing vessel speed.
